Why Stretch

Every time you use a muscle a contraction occurs, but herein lays the problem; our bodies aren’t very efficient in relaxing a muscle post contraction. A very small portion of the muscle stays contracted which is normally unnoticeable, but over a period of the time builds up to create a more serious problem. Hence the feeling of tightness and restriction, which may lead into an increase risk of injury and strains!

What people forget to notice is that you don’t just work your muscles through exercise; you also use your body through everyday activities like lifting your children, carrying around groceries and driving your car. It is the repetitive nature of these actions that lead to tightening of muscles.

Stretching is our way of reminding our muscles how long they truly are. Stretching helps fix this problem by increasing your range of movement and fending off any restrictions.
