What is Neck Pain
Neck pain affects up to one-third of adults annually and can range from mild stiffness to severe pain limiting movement and function (Côté et al., 2008). Most cases are not serious, but untreated neck pain can become persistent and affect daily life.
Common Causes:
- Poor posture, including forward head carriage.
- Cervical joint dysfunction, reducing neck mobility.
- Muscle tension or strain, often due to stress or repetitive activity.
- Whiplash or trauma from accidents or sports.
- Degenerative changes, such as osteoarthritis.
